6+ Must-Try Farm-to-Table Restaurants in Niagara
As a Niagara local, I know we’re incredibly lucky to have an abundance of fresh produce on our doorstep.
(If you’ve ever had a ripe Niagara peach on a hot August day, you know what I’m talking about.)
That said, it’s no surprise you can find some of the absolute best farm-to-table restaurants right here in Niagara.
From family-owned vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake to Michelin-starred eateries in Jordan, the restaurants on this list bring the freshest, healthiest, and most delicious Niagara ingredients straight to your plate—all while supporting local farmers and producers.
Plus, these restaurants are a big part of the reason why Niagara is now firmly on Canada’s culinary map.
Table of Contents
1. The Good Earth Food & Wine Co.
The Good Earth is a Beamsville gem. From the stunning location to the attentive staff and the exceptional food—this restaurant stands out for so many reasons.
It’s one of the few places in the region where the ambiance is phenomenal but the food is somehow even better.
Naturally, the menu is designed to celebrate Niagara’s seasonality and the best that local producers have to offer.
With everything from asparagus to peas and strawberries sourced from nearby farms—some of which are located right down the road from the restaurant—The Good Earth is truly farm-to-table.
If I had to choose the best dishes from my most recent visit, I’d pick the cucumber salad with Japanese lime cucumber, creamy burrata, confit chili, and mint.
Followed closely by the Spanish octopus with romesco, black garlic, pickled potato, and pickled ramps. Both dishes were memorable for different reasons, but everything I tried here deserved a 10/10 rating.
Another must-try? Their Aria sparkling wine. If you visit during the summer, you’ll definitely want to grab a glass and enjoy it out on the patio (which just so happens to be one of the most beautiful patio settings in Niagara).

📍The Good Earth Food & Wine Co.
Address: 4556 Lincoln Ave, Beamsville
Price: $30 – $50+
2. Restaurant Pearl Morissette
Recognized with a Michelin star and recently named Best Restaurant in Canada for 2025 by Canada’s 100 Best, Restaurant Pearl Morissette needs no introduction.
This renowned restaurant is founded on a holistic approach of regenerative practices and processes—and you can see that reflected in everything from the meticulously crafted dishes to their 17-acre on-site farm and the carefully chosen purveyors they partner with.
Personally, I love how transparent they are about where their ingredients come from. You can see a list of the farmers, ranchers, foragers, and fishers they work with on their website.
One thing that every one of these purveyors have in common? They’re all committed to the ecology of food.
Restaurant Pearl Morissette’s ever-changing pre-fixe tasting menu features the best of what’s in season, and each dish is essentially a work of art—beautifully presented with inventive and unexpected flavour combinations.
📍Restaurant Pearl Morissette
Address: 3953 Jordan Rd, Jordan Station
Price: $205 per person prix-fixe menu
3. Ravine
If you’ve read any other food articles on this blog, you’ve probably heard me ramble on about how much I love the restaurant at Ravine Vineyard.
It’s one of my favourite spots in the region, and one that I always recommend to visitors who reach out asking for info about Niagara-on-the-Lake.
I’ll try not to repeat what I’ve already said about Ravine, but essentially, they do farm-to-table dining really well.
The winery and restaurant sit on a 34-acre organic and family-run farm. Along with the vineyards, there’s a garden, a small greenhouse, egg-producing hens, and beehives on the property.
Everything from salad greens and asparagus to rhubarb and squash is grown in their on-site garden—and many of these homegrown fruits and veggies are featured on their seasonally-driven menus.
I love that they offer a fine dining menu alongside their Four Mile Pizza Patio menu. It’s the perfect spot if you want an upscale dining experience or a casual pizza with lovely vineyard views.
📍Ravine Vineyard
Address: 1366 York Rd, St. Davids
Price: $75+ for the prix-fixe dinner menu or a la carte for lunch
4. Treadwell
Treadwell is all about seasonality, sustainability, and showcasing the finest ingredients from Niagara and Southwestern Ontario.
By partnering with local farmers, artisans, and winemakers, their ultimate goal is to bring the best of the region to your plate. All it takes is one look at the innovative and always-changing menu to recognize that.
The culinary team here have a true passion for what they do, and every dish is as beautiful as it is delicious. If you enjoy watching the chefs in action, be sure to request a seat at the bar, right next to the open kitchen.
The great thing about Treadwell is that you can book an upscale multi-course prix-fixe meal for dinner, or try their a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch, or Sunday brunch.
A note for wine lovers: Treadwell’s wine cellar contains the largest collection of Ontario wines in the world, along with a selection of organic and sustainable wines from across the globe.
📍Treadwell
Address: 114 Queen St, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Price: $115 for prix-fixe dinner menu or a la carte for lunch and breakfast
5. Root & Bone
Root & Bone focuses on fresh, organic, and natural ingredients. Even the name is a nod to its farm-to-table principles (fresh from the root, fresh from the bone—and fresh to your table).
Many of the restaurant’s heirloom and seasonal vegetables are hyper-local and grown right in Pelham.
And with a constantly evolving menu that changes with the growing season, there’s always something new and unique to try here.
Whatever’s on the menu when you visit, you can guarantee it will be ultra-fresh and exquisitely presented.
Think dishes like pistachio crusted lamb loin, braised wagyu short rib wellington, and crispy butternut squash with miso brown butter aioli.
In terms of pricing, it’s $115 for the four-course dinner menu, but they also offer an a la carte menu on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

📍Root & Bone
Address: 1469 Pelham St, Fonthill
Price: $115 prix-fixe menu (a la carte available on Wednesday & Thursday)
6. Restaurant Capelin
The concept behind this restaurant is simple: Canadian aquaculture + Niagara agriculture. In other words, every thoughtfully designed dish features Canadian fish and seafood, paired with locally-grown produce.
Not only does Restaurant Capelin serve farm/water-to-table food, but they also offer a truly unique dining experience: a seven-course menu with seating for only 11 people.
It’s super intimate and I don’t think there’s anything else like it in the region. It feels more like a friend’s dinner party rather than a regular sit-down restaurant.
The fish-focused menu is constantly changing, but examples of recent dishes include lake trout with hazelnut paste, sous-vide pork terrine, and whitefish with asparagus and sunflower seed pesto.
FYI: They offer a more casual a la carte menu on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. (walk-ins only).
📍Restaurant Capelin
Address: 31 James St, St. Catharines
Price: $95 for the tasting menu (a la carte available on Sundays)
