To be honest, I didn’t expect to like Paris. It’s never been a city that called to me, I’d never longed to climb the Eiffel Tower or stroll along the Seine.
I decided to visit on a whim, after perusing Skyscanner and stumbling across cheap flights in November. I knew the food would be phenomenal, and that was reason enough to visit – whether I connected with the city or not.
Maybe it’s because my expectations were so low, but I loved Paris. I turned into another camera-wielding, starry-eyed tourist walking through the city, my mouth agape, audibly squealing at the sight of the Eiffel Tower.
The City of Light unexpectedly made a lasting impression on me, and I think back on my weekend there with wistful nostalgia. I have so many photos of Paris (the city is ridiculously photogenic), but I thought I’d start with a few highlights as seen through my Instagram.

Ah, your photos are lovely. I’ve been to Paris twice and have never quite taken to it. A city that bowled me over recently was Vienna – only had a day and a bit there, but wandered around with my mouth similarly agape. They are both very pretty cities!

Paris is a destination that has always been on my bucket list, but never in an I-need-to-see-it kind of way, if that makes sense. Seeing your pictures makes me feel like I need to bump it up a bit in the priority line though! Gorgeous photos.

Paris is the place which attracts me all time I visit here last year and found it so attractive and amazing. Effile Tower is one of the most favorite places among all other places. These pictures just revived my old memories at this place.
